RE: Another dog camping question

As a dog lover and the having two dogs that I camp with I would never leave them alone in a crate in a tent or vehicle. Thats just not good for the dog. If you bring a dog, then your activities have to take their welfare into consideration. If not, then don't bring them with you.

RE: Selling an RV - Any Success?

Well, we have this motorhome priced low. NADA shows it as $42,000 and low is $34,000. We have it priced at $29,500. It is a 1998 model with only 43K Miles. Has an 8ft superslide/Ford 460 cu in/hydraulic levelers/5kw generator/aluminum clad awnings/convection microwave/corian counters/the dolphin decals are intact. Has all of the options.
As far as National going bankrupt, that is not a problems because all parts are from other manufacturers anyway. National is just a distributer.
Also, there was a comment that these are the times to buy, not sell. Well, doesn't that mean that someone is buying? Don't think that an RV Dealer would be able to provide the deal that we are. They will jack up their price just like a car dealer would.
Have not tried EBAY yet.

Selling an RV - Any Success?

I have a question? Has anyone had success recently selling an RV? If so, what is your advice?
My husband and I have a Dolphin Motorhome and a Prowler Camper. We had the Prowler and thought it would be nice to have a MH.We got the Dolphin and it is really nice. However, for some reason we cannot part with the Prowler. Don't know if it is for sentimental reasons or what. We have listed the Dolphin everywhere we can think and no results. We have lowered the price - nothing! We have it listed on Good Sam and not getting any inquires.
Any good ideas? :h

RE: Looking for best ocean front camping in NC or SC

I camped at Hunting Island State Park last week and would highly recommend it if you just want to relax and enjoy nature and the ocean. It is a tropical paradise....Of course, no cable tv or wireless internet. I really enjoyed it.

RE: Campgrounds information

My husband and I camped on Hunting Island last week, it was beautiful. We traveled from Knoxville Tennessee and spent the night in a WalMart parking lot. They allow RVs to spend one night in their lot as a stop over.

RE: Overnight Parking

My husband use WalMart as a stop over when we travel long distances to a campground and have never had a problem. I actually have a book that lists all of the WalMarts that allow you to do that. The name of the book is "Wal Mart Locator" their web site is www.walmartlocator.com. This is good for those who just need a stopover to sleep. When my husband and i do this we always end up spending some money shopping at the WalMart as well, so we both benefit. There are always other travelers who pull in with us.

Looks like you don't like dogs? There are people out there who are responsible pet owners. To be honest, some kids are much more unruly and annoying than dogs. As long as the owner cleans up after their dog and the dog is well mannered I think they should be able to take a walk on the beach with their owner.

Ft DeSoto State Park near St Petersburg FL has a separate "Dog Beach". It's a really nice place to take your dog. Dogs run and play together and I really enjoyed it.

RE: Loosing a Pet

We lost our Yorkie Gizmo over a year ago, he was almost 14yrs old and blind but we loved him very much. I still feel sad thinking about him. THere is a web site called Dogster where I created a web page in his memory. I still cry when I go there. Its not unusual, dogs are our best friends.
Here is Gizmo's web site: http://www.dogster.com/dogs/479610

RE: Statistics showing why gas price is not a big deal

I am thinking that RVing is still cheaper than vacationing in some resorts and hotels. Also, before I had an RV and would plan a vacation at the beach and reserve a hotel on line based on the description and photos it seemed that quite often when I got there it was nothing like I thought it would be. So, at least with an RV you know what your accomodations will be. You also save money not having to eat out all the time. There are many positives about RVing in my opinion. Look at people who fly to vacation spots, airline fares are not cheap. I will not give up RVing. Just have to look at my budget before I know where I can go.:)
